5/15/25 - Project Manual was revised to include Page 14 of Section 000700 General Conditions. Perform excavation and grading to improve existing water quality channel. Also install rock slope protection, fencing, erosion control measures, and vegetation to create vehicle crossings at PRAIRIE CITY SVRA in Sacramento County. Job Showing is Mandatory - see Notice to Contractors included in the Project Manual. Questions and Answers: Any discrepancies, omissions, ambiguities, or conflicts in or among the contract documents or doubts as to meaning shall be brought to the State's attention by emailing your questions to Merrilee.Byrnes@parks.ca.gov NO LATER THAN 2 p.m., seven (7) calendar days prior to bid opening date. Answers will be provided by Addendum on this website, and it is the responsibility of the bidders to download any addendum as needed. Participation in Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Program (DVBE): The minimum DVBE participation percentage goal is 6%. Failure to fulfill the DVBE requirement will render your bid non-responsive. DVBE Incentive: For evaluation purposes only, an incentive will be given to bidders who exceed the 6% DVBE participation requirements. Refer to the DVBE forms beginning with DPR 479IP. Small Business Preference and Small Business Subcontractor Participation: A five percent (5%) Small Business Preference will be granted to properly certified small businesses (a completed STD 811 Form must be submitted with the bid proposal). Background
The Natural Resources Agency of California, through the Department of Parks and Recreation, is issuing a contract for initial erosion control at the Prairie City State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) located in Sacramento County.
The goal of this contract is to improve water quality and manage erosion within the recreation area, which aligns with the agency's mission to protect and enhance California's natural resources.

Work Details
The contractor will perform excavation and grading to enhance an existing water quality channel.
Additionally, the contractor will install rock slope protection, fencing, erosion control measures, and vegetation to create vehicle crossings at Prairie City SVRA.
The project includes construction drawings (sheets G0-01 through L2-02) that detail the work required.
There are also deductive alternates for substituting Peeler Core Fence with No Climb Fence in three areas and eliminating specific crossings related to those improvements.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed within 180 calendar days from the date of written notice to commence work, which includes a 10-day period allowed for the contractor to begin work.

The contract will be performed at Prairie City State Vehicular Recreation Area located at 13300 White Rock Road, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742.
