The Employee Scheduling Service is an initiative to modernize Orange Coast Districts scheduling and timekeeping system allowing an efficient process for supervisors and employees. The project seeks to implement a solution to make scheduling employees faster, more efficient, and less labor intensive. The contractor shall provide services, which provide a secure web and mobile access to allow users to check schedules, pick up shifts, request leave. Track and accommodate employee schedule preferences, allow eligible workers to volunteer, pick up, trade, or decline new shifts on demand. Notify workers about schedule changes and promote new shifts with automated calls, emails, SMS, and mobile notifications. Allow workers to submit leave requests. Enforce leave approval criteria such as leave allowances, staffing levels. Update schedules instantly and backfill openings upon approval of leave requests.
