Building Management System - Hvac Automation Control Contractor

Background
The County of Shasta, through its Department of Support Services, Purchasing Division, is seeking responses to a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for building management/HVAC control system installation, repair, programming, and technical support services.

Shasta County employs building management systems at 18 facilities in the Redding area and uses Johnson Controls FX hardware and FinStack software. The goal is to maintain and expand these systems as needed.

Work Details
The contractor will provide on-call, as-needed services including:
- Maintenance and repair of existing building management systems;
- Installation of new systems;
- Hardware and software-related services;
- Technical support for County staff;
- Troubleshooting;
- Scheduled maintenance;
- Upgrades to software;
- Consultation and training via telephone;
- Itemized estimates for work;
- Removal of materials and debris after work completion;
- Coordination with County to minimize disruption during repairs or installations. Each project will be negotiated with the Facilities Management Division, with a maximum cost of $75,000 per project.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for three years from the date it is signed by both parties.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various facilities within Shasta County, primarily in the Redding area.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must possess all applicable licenses, certifications, and insurance. They must comply with prevailing wage rates when required. For projects costing $25,000 or more, performance bonds are required. Contractors must maintain comprehensive general liability insurance with limits of at least $2 million per occurrence and workers' compensation insurance at statutory levels.
