Description

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, permits and fees necessary for the Building 90 Cameras Upgrade, Replacement and Expansion - DCA located at Discovery Challenge Academy, 700 Roth Road, Lathrop, CA 95330. The Contractor shall replace and extend current camera system with updated remote camera-audio system that covers interior of barracks. Add camera-audio systems to cover blind spots in the sleeping bays and hallways and laundry rooms. Install remote operated camera-audio system that can be directed from HQ building. All work shall be in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements of this Invitation for Bid (IFB). Bid submissions shall be emailed to PWC@cmd.ca.gov with the subject title BID FOR EVENT# 35008 - DO NOT OPEN. Prospective bidders MUST attend the mandatory pre-bid job walk on 4/14/2025, at 9:00 AM at Discovery Challenge Academy, 700 Roth Road, Lathrop, CA 95330. Arrive at least 15 minutes early and bring business cards. Prospective bidders may obtain directions to the pre-bid job walk site by contacting Sergey Kinchak at Sergey.Kinchak@cmd.ca.gov. Prospective bidders MUST sign-in prior to the start of the pre-bid job walk, attend the entire pre-bid job walk and be present for roll call at the conclusion of the pre-bid job walk. Bidders who do not remain for the entire pre-bid job walk will be considered non-responsive and will not be allowed to bid on this project. The prime contractor MUST possess a type C-10 - Electrical Contractor license, or subcontract to one. All questions regarding this IFB MUST be submitted to Sergey Kinchak, at Sergey.Kinchak@cmd.ca.gov no later than 4:00 PM on 4/21/2025. Email subject lines must state RFI FOR EVENT# 35008. Background
The California Military Department is issuing a contract for the Building 90 Cameras Upgrade, Replacement and Expansion project at Discovery Challenge Academy, located at 700 Roth Road, Lathrop, CA 95330. The goal of this contract is to enhance the security infrastructure by upgrading the existing camera system to a modern remote camera-audio system that will cover critical areas within the barracks, including sleeping bays, hallways, and laundry rooms.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all labor, equipment, materials, permits, and fees necessary for the project. Specific tasks include:
- Replacing and extending the current camera system with an updated remote camera-audio system;
- Adding camera-audio systems to cover blind spots in sleeping bays, hallways, and laundry rooms;

Period of Performance

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a type C-10 Electrical Contractor license or subcontract to one. Additionally, prime contractors must subcontract at least 5% of their work to certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs) unless they are themselves certified as DVBEs. All bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid job walk on April 14, 2025. Bidders are required to submit proposals on standard forms provided in this IFB and must comply with various certifications including Drug-Free Workplace Act compliance.
