Building 197 Auxiliary Chiller Connection 25-42001-000

Background
The Department of State Hospitals (DSH) is seeking bids for the installation of temporary/auxiliary electrical and piping connections for a mobile air-cooled chiller located at the mechanical outbuilding servicing Building 197 in Napa. This project is defined as a public works project under Labor Code 1720, requiring compliance with prevailing wage laws.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, prevailing wages, insurance, bonds, and personnel to complete the installation as designed in the attached J.C. Chang and Associates (JCCA) drawings and specifications. The scope includes:

1. Installation of temporary/auxiliary electrical connections.
2. Installation of piping connections for the mobile air-cooled chiller.
3. Adherence to all safety and operational standards as specified in the project documentation.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of the agreement is from January 5, 2025, through June 30, 2026. All performance must be completed by the termination date of the agreement.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at DSH-Napa located at 2100 Napa Vallejo Highway, Napa, CA 94558.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and must pay prevailing wages as per Labor Code section 1771. They must provide proof of their legal right to do business in California and submit a copy of their current Contractors State License (Class A or B). Additionally, bidders must have a minimum of five years' experience performing similar work including mechanical piping and electrical installations.
