Big Bus Parts - Misc.

Scope of Work:
OCTA is seeking bids for the supply of various Big Bus Parts as described in this solicitation. The required goods must be provided by bidders who are:

• The original equipment manufacturer (OEM)
• An authorized dealer
• An approved reseller, subcontractor, or agent authorized by the OEM

Bidders are required to:

• Offer their best price
• Specify warranty terms
• Indicate lead time for delivery
• Include all freight and/or delivery costs in the bid price

The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with available inventory. Items may be awarded to multiple bidders if it is determined to be in the best interest of OCTA. Warranty terms may also influence the award decision.

This solicitation is issued by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA).

Background:
The purpose of this contract is to procure Big Bus Parts to meet OCTA's operational needs. Brand names and model numbers referenced are intended to establish a standard of requirement.

Contract Requirements:
Bidders must:

• State the manufacturer's name
• Complete the warranty section, including the start of warranty checkbox
• Ensure that if a brand other than the one requested is bid, it must be an OCTA approved equal prior to bidding

For approved equals:

• Submit a request for approved equal status before bidding
• Provide fully supported technical data attached to an Approved Equal Form
• Allow OCTA to review and test the data; if accepted, the part may be bid in future solicitations
• The bidder bears the burden of proof for equality, substitutability, and compatibility of proposed alternates or equals, and must furnish all necessary information at no cost to OCTA
• OCTA will be the sole judge regarding the equality, substitutability, and compatibility of proposed parts
