BID Pine Mountain Generator and Backup Battery

Background
The County of Sonoma, through its Department of Public Infrastructure, is issuing a solicitation for the Pine Mountain Generator and Battery Backup project. The goal of this project is to upgrade the existing radio tower facility located at 33550 Pine Mountain Rd, Cloverdale, California, by implementing a new emergency power system. This includes enhancing system reliability during frequent outages.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Demolishing the existing utility and generator;
- Installing a battery energy storage system (ESS);
- Integrating a new generator;
- Replacing the utility meter;
- Optionally providing a solar photovoltaic (PV) system under a design-build approach.

The improvements aim to enhance the reliability of the power supply for the facility.

Period of Performance
Substantial completion is expected within 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with final completion required within 120 calendar days from the same date.

The work will be performed at 33550 Pine Mountain Rd, Cloverdale, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a California A-General Engineering or B-General Building Contractor’s License or a valid California Class C-10 Electrical Contractor License. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered and qualified to perform public work as per Labor Code Section 1725.5. Compliance with prevailing wage laws is mandatory, and bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit.
