Background
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is seeking contractors for the Outdoor Classroom and Campus Upgrade at the 36th Street Early Education Center and Hyde Park Early Education Center. The goal of this project is to enhance educational facilities by providing outdoor classrooms, site furnishings, civil works, landscaping with irrigation, new HVAC units, roofing, and necessary upgrades to the fire alarm system. The project also includes American with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Construction of an outdoor classroom.
2. Site furnishing and civil works.
3. Landscaping with irrigation systems.
4. Installation of new HVAC units.
5. Roofing upgrades.
6. Upgrades to the fire alarm system.
7. ADA compliance improvements including accessible gates, restrooms, sinks, and drinking fountains.

The project encompasses two bundled projects at separate locations that will be executed concurrently, adhering to a strict phasing outlined in the bid documents.

Period of Performance
The anticipated start date for construction is November 2024, with substantial completion expected within 500 calendar days (by April 2026) and final completion within 530 calendar days (by May 2026). Workdays are scheduled from Monday to Saturday with specific hours depending on school days.

The work will be performed at two locations in Los Angeles, CA:
1. 36th Street Early Education Center - 3556 S. St. Andrews Place, Los Angeles, CA 90018
2. Hyde Park Early Education Center - 6428 11th Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90043.
