Background
The California State University (CSU) is the largest system of higher education in the nation, comprising twenty-three campuses and the Office of the Chancellor. Sacramento State is seeking proposals for executive coaching services to support its executive leadership team, including the President’s Cabinet. This initiative is part of a broader institutional transformation aimed at enhancing academic, research, and community impact. The goal is to align leadership development with strategic priorities and foster shared visioning and leadership capacity.
Work Details
The selected provider will deliver a comprehensive coaching program that includes:
1) Individual Executive Coaching: Personalized coaching sessions for each Cabinet member, leadership assessments (including 360-degree feedback), customized coaching plans, just-in-time support, and maintaining confidentiality while tracking progress.
2) Team Coaching for the President’s Cabinet: Leading team coaching sessions to promote strategic alignment, conducting diagnostic assessments, observing meetings for real-time coaching, supporting collective purpose definition, and guiding strategic planning processes.
Deliverables include individual coaching plans, assessment reports, session logs, team diagnostic summaries, coaching schedules and materials, strategic planning support documentation, and periodic progress reports.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement will commence upon execution and continue for twelve (12) months with options for two (2) additional one-year renewals subject to funding availability.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with California state law requiring three percent (3%) participation from Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE). Proposals must include a Bidder Declaration document. Additionally, bidders must demonstrate experience in higher education leadership development and provide references from similar contracts.
