Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) Number 26C347001 for Automatic Bay Door Replacement Services at the CHP Nimitz Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (CVEF) Northbound.

The CHP's mission is to ensure safety and security on California highways. This contract aims to enhance operational efficiency by replacing automatic bay doors at the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Automatic Bay Door Replacement Services as detailed in Exhibit A. This includes the removal of existing doors, installation of new automatic bay doors, and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards.

The contractor must also ensure that all work is performed in a manner that minimizes disruption to CHP operations.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on July 1, 2026, and continue until June 30, 2027. There may be extensions based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the CHP Nimitz Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (CVEF) Northbound located at 4416 Interstate 880, Fremont, CA 94538.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific qualifications including:
- possession of a valid Contractors State License Board (CSLB) C-61/D-28 license;
- registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR);
- proof of liability insurance;
- compliance with Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation requirements (minimum of 5%);
- successful completion of a driver license and fingerprint check for personnel assigned to the contract.
