Description

The City of Corona Community Service Department is responsible for maintaining and repairing High Voltage electrical infrastructure of the City's facilities. This would include the Utilities department, City Hall building, Public Safety Communications, Library and Parks.

The City of Corona Community Service Department is responsible for maintaining and repairing high voltage electrical infrastructure across various city facilities, including the Utilities department, City Hall, Public Safety Communications, Library, and Parks.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of these critical electrical systems.

Work Details
The contractor will provide as-needed city-wide high voltage maintenance and electrical services. This includes but is not limited to the inspection, repair, and maintenance of high voltage electrical systems within city facilities.
The work is subject to prevailing wage laws as outlined in California Labor Code Section 1720 et seq., requiring compliance with specific wage rates determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
The successful bidder must also provide a 100% payment bond for individual call-out projects exceeding $25,000 and a performance bond when required by the City.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue as needed until September 10, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations within the City of Corona, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed contractors in California with either an 'A' General Engineering Contractor or a C-10 Electrical Contractor License.
Additionally, all contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5.
Bidders are required to comply with all applicable prevailing wage laws and must identify their DIR registration number on the bid proposal.

The City shall award the Contract for the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as determined from the lowest total for the summation of the base bid Schedule A alone. Please allow sufficient time to fully complete and upload each and every document prior to the bid submission deadline. The solicitation documents include, but are not limited to, bid and contract documents, specifications, drawings, appendices, and required bid forms. Bidders shall complete the required bid forms in their entirety and submit electronically through the PlanetBids system.
