Aerial Imagery Aquisition

Background
The San Bernardino County Innovation and Technology Department is seeking proposals for aerial imagery acquisition of selected urban and forest areas within San Bernardino County, as well as limited boundary areas of surrounding counties. This initiative aims to enhance the County's Geographic Information System (GIS) capabilities, which are critical for responding to daily requests and emergency situations. The contract will be awarded based on the quality of proposals received, with a maximum contract term of five years starting January 1, 2025.

Work Details
The contractor will provide aerial imagery covering approximately 4,805 contiguous square miles of urban, desert, and forest areas in San Bernardino County. Deliverables include:

1. Ortho-rectified Quarter Quad GeoTIFFs for the Area of Interest (AOI).
2. Enhanced Compressed Wavelet (ECW) formatted imagery.
3. Natural color orthophotographic imagery produced from the specified area.
4. Ground Control Points and Geodetic Monuments for accurate mapping.
5. Imagery must be collected under optimal conditions to minimize distortion and must adhere to specific quality standards outlined in the RFP, including photographic overlap requirements (60% frontlap and 30% sidelap).
6. The contractor must ensure that all images meet ASPRS Positional Accuracy Standards for Digital Geospatial Data Edition 2, Version 2 (2024).

Period of Performance
The contract period will last from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2029.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed primarily in San Bernardino County and may extend into limited boundary areas of surrounding counties.
