Background
The State of California, Department of General Services, Procurement Division (DGS-PD) is issuing this Invitation For Bid (IFB) for a One Time Acquisition to meet the requirements of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).
The goal of this contract is to provide Wheelchair Lift Van Conversions that comply with specified technical and operational standards.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for converting vans to include wheelchair lifts, ensuring compliance with all technical specifications outlined in Attachment 1 – Exhibit B.
All equipment must be new and the latest model in production.
The conversion process will begin with a designated prototype unit, which must be inspected and approved before proceeding with additional units.
The contractor must maintain at least seven vans ready for inspection at all times and deliver completed conversions to the CDCR at specified locations.
Deliveries must include a qualified service representative for operational training.
Additionally, the contractor is responsible for all warranty services through an authorized facility within 100 miles of the delivery location.
Period of Performance
The contract work must be fully completed within one year from the date of Purchase Order execution, which includes delivery of all wheelchair-lift conversions as specified in the Cost Worksheet.
Place of Performance
The primary location for delivery and conversion services will be at California State Prison Solano, located at 2100 Peabody Road, Vacaville, CA 95687.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Seller’s Permit and Secretary of State certification if applicable.
They are required to submit various forms including the Bidder Declaration Form, California Civil Rights Laws Certification form, and any necessary documentation related to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation.
Bidders must also comply with specific administrative requirements as outlined in Attachment 1 – Exhibit C.
