Description

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), Technical Services Division, is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from Architectural and Design firms, pursuant to Government Code 4525 et. seq. This solicitation is to establish retainer agreements with qualified firms to be used on as-needed basis by CAL FIRE. Successful firms may be awarded multi-year $1,500,000.00 agreements, up to five (5) years, on a fixed rate basis. Task Orders for the retainer agreement for specific projects will be prepared on an as needed basis. The scope of services and total fee for individual Task Orders will be negotiated utilizing the rates specified in the retainer agreement. The State does not guarantee any Task Orders will be made under the agreements during the contract period to the selected firms(s). Contractor agrees to provide to the CAL FIRE Professional Architectural and Design Services as described herein: Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to provide Professional Architectural and Design Services for infrastructure projects at CAL FIRE's Southern Region facilities as described in Exhibit A, Scope of Work. Task Orders will be issued for specific projects. CAL FIRE does not guarantee a specific number or dollar amount of Task Orders to be issued under the agreement during the contract period to the selected firm.
Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified Architectural and Design firms to establish retainer agreements for Professional Architectural and Design Services.
This initiative is part of CAL FIRE's mission to enhance infrastructure projects within its Southern Region facilities, which span several counties in California.
The contracts aim to provide as-needed services over a multi-year period, with a total potential value of $1,500,000.00.

Work Details
Contractors will provide all necessary materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees for Professional Architectural and Design Services related to infrastructure projects at CAL FIRE's Southern Region facilities.
Task Orders will be issued for specific projects based on the retainer agreement.
The scope of services includes but is not limited to:
- Infrastructure project planning and design
- Compliance with state regulations and standards
- Coordination with CAL FIRE personnel for project execution
- Development of project deliverables as specified in individual Task Orders.
The selected firms will not be guaranteed a specific number or dollar amount of Task Orders during the contract period.

Period of Performance
The contract period may extend up to five (5) years from the date of award, with Task Orders issued on an as-needed basis throughout this duration.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at CAL FIRE's Southern Region facilities located in the following counties: Calaveras, Alpine, Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Monterey, San Benito, Merced, Mariposa, Mono, Madera, Fresno, Kings, Tulare, Inyo, San Luis Obispo, Kern, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, and Imperial.
