Background
The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works is seeking catering services for the 2026 Safety Awards. The purpose of this contract is to provide food and catering services for six safety award ceremonies, supporting the agency's mission to recognize safety achievements within the community.

Work Details
The awarded vendor will be responsible for providing meals as specified by Public Works and delivering them to designated sites according to the event schedule. Key requirements include:
- Meals must be delivered at safe temperatures (cold foods at or below 45ºF; hot foods at or above 135ºF).
- Meals are to be served buffet style, including individually wrapped burritos with various fillings (e.g., egg, bacon, sausage) and additional buffet items such as fresh fruit, roasted potatoes, sautéed vegetables, and assorted pastries.
- Vendor must provide all necessary equipment for food service, including serving trays, food warmers, and utensils.
- All food items must comply with California laws regarding food handling.
- Vendor must implement environmentally sustainable practices, such as eliminating single-use plastics and providing recycling containers at events.

Period of Performance
The contract will cover multiple events scheduled from June 4, 2026, through November 5, 2026. Each event will require setup starting at 5:00 A.M., with service beginning at 7:00 A.M. and lasting approximately 3-4 hours.

Place of Performance
Catering services will be performed at various locations across Los Angeles County including Hansen Yard in Sun Valley, Westchester Yard in Los Angeles, Eaton Yard in Pasadena, Imperial Yard in South Gate, Alcazar Yard in Los Angeles, and Palmdale Yard in Palmdale.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all applicable federal and state laws regarding food handling and maintain all necessary permits and insurance throughout the contract term. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to subcontract portions of the work to certified Small Business Enterprises (SBE), Local Small Business Enterprises (LSBE), Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE), Social Enterprises (SE), and Community Business Enterprises (CBE).
