41C2407 Civic Center Campus Lighting Project - Phase 1

Background
The Civic Center Campus Lighting Project is a multi-phase initiative by the Marin County Department of Public Works aimed at replacing failing exterior pole lights and direct-burial wiring with modernized, energy-efficient fixtures and new underground infrastructure.
The goal of this contract is to enhance safety and efficiency in public lighting at key locations within the Civic Center Campus.

Work Details
Phase 1 of the project includes the replacement of exterior pole lights in the Civic Center parking lot located at the Marin County Jail and Hall of Justice, as well as a portion of lights at the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium Building.
The project requires modern energy-efficient fixtures and new underground infrastructure to be installed.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within 90 working days.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Civic Center Campus, specifically in the parking lot of the Marin County Jail and Hall of Justice, as well as at the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium Building, located in San Rafael, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Class A and/or Class C-10 license at the time of bid submittal.
All bids must include a bid security for at least ten percent (10%) of the base bid.
Bidders must also be registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code Sec. 1725.5.
This project is subject to prevailing wage rates as determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
