Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Bathroom Demolition, Repair, and Installation Services at the Owens Valley Conservation Camp.
The goal of this contract is to ensure that inmate bathrooms are in safe and working conditions, which aligns with CAL FIRE's mission to provide effective fire protection and conservation services.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary to demolish, install, and repair inmate bathrooms at the Owens Valley Conservation Camp.
This includes ensuring that all work complies with safety standards and regulations. The contractor must also adhere to the requirements set forth in the IFB regarding prevailing wage rates and other labor laws.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as detailed in the bid documents.
Key action dates include a mandatory site inspection on April 22, 2026, with final bids due by May 7, 2026.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the Owens Valley Conservation Camp located at 2784 Round Valley Road, Bishop, CA 93514.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid B - General Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
A Bidder’s Bond is required for bids exceeding $461,000.00. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to meet a three percent (3%) participation goal for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) and a twenty-five percent (25%) subcontracting commitment to certified Small Businesses or Micro Businesses.
