3CA07531 Stand By Generator and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Installation Service

Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the installation of a Stand By Generator and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).
The purpose of this contract is to ensure uninterrupted backup power for frequent power outages, which is critical for the agency's operations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary to install one (1) Stand By Generator and one (1) ATS.
The installation must comply with all applicable codes and regulations. The contractor must also ensure that all work meets the standards set forth by CAL FIRE.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as detailed in the bid documents.
Key action dates include a mandatory pre-bid conference on April 22, 2026, with final bid submissions due by May 6, 2026.

Place of Performance
The installation will take place at CAL FIRE's facility located at 2784 South Round Valley Road, Bishop, CA 93514.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed to do business in California and possess a valid C-10 Electrical Contractor license or a B-General Building and C-10 Electrical Contractor license issued by the Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB).
Additionally, bidders must have Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) registration. A Bidder’s Bond is required if the bid price exceeds $461,000.00.
The contract also requires compliance with Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation goals of 3% and a commitment to subcontract at least 25% of the net bid price to certified small businesses or microbusinesses.
