2CA07813 Warehouse windows and Metal Siding Removal **SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY**

Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is issuing a contracting opportunity for Warehouse Windows and Metal Siding Removal and Replacement services at the Tehama-Glenn Unit (TGU), located at 3337 County Road 307, Elk Creek, CA 95939. This contract aims to address deterioration, maintain structural integrity, improve safety, and ensure the facility remains operational and compliant with applicable building standards.

Only California Certified Small Businesses are eligible to submit quotes for this request.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary to remove and replace warehouse windows and metal siding. Specific tasks include:

1. Remove existing windows; if frames or trims are damaged or rotted, they must be replaced to meet California Building Code standards.
2. Install new windows with flashing as per manufacturer’s recommendations.
3. Remove exterior wood siding that is damaged or rotted.
4. Replace any wood framing members that are in substandard condition with new wood framing.
5. Remove and replace any damaged or rotted studs, joists, bottom and top plates, headers over man doors and garage doors.
6. Install Taylor Metal Products Purlin Bearing Rib (PBR) 26-gauge metal siding or equivalent as per manufacturer’s recommendations in three areas of the building; color to be Taylor Metal Products Light Stone or equivalent.
7. Verify window measurements prior to ordering; windows must be Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) compliant.
8. Install new window and door trim to match existing.
9. Install Tyvek or equivalent house wrap prior to siding installation.
10. Provide off-site disposal of all debris associated with the project.
11. Conduct daily cleanup of job sites for safety.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on June 11, 2026, or upon approval by the California Department of General Services (DGS), whichever is later. The contract will expire on June 10, 2027.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at Valley View Fire Center located at 3337 County Road 307, Elk Creek, CA 95939.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be California Certified Small Businesses and provide proof of a B-General Building Contractor or C-5 Framing and Rough Carpentry Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB). Additionally, bidders are required to submit various forms including:

- Rate Sheet
- Bid/Bidder Certification Sheet
- Darfur Contracting Act form (CAL FIRE-720)
- Payee Data Information form (STD 204)
- Contractor Certification Clauses form (CCC 04/2017)
- Bidder Declaration Form (GSPD-05-105)

Quotes from SB/DVBE subcontractors if applicable and proof of Department of Industrial Registration (DIR) must also be submitted.
