2CA07457 - Ansul Hood and Fire Alarm System Replacement **Small Business Bidders ONLY**

Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is issuing a contracting opportunity for Hood and Fire Alarm System Services at CAL FIRE Siskiyou Unit (SKU) Deadwood Camp located at 17148 McAdams Creek Road, Fort Jones, CA 96032.

The goal of this contract is to replace the existing hood and fire alarm system with new systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Only California Certified Small Businesses are eligible to submit quotes for this request.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary to remove the existing hood and fire alarm system and replace it with new systems. Specific tasks include:

A. Removal of the existing hood and fire alarm system.
B. Installation of a new Fire Sprinkler Monitoring System compliant with NFPA 72 and NFPA 70.
C. Installation of a new Ansul Hood System for commercial kitchen operations.
D. Design of fire alarm and hood replacement parts to be code compliant, including plans, permits, and approvals from the authority having jurisdiction.
E. Furnishing and installation of fire alarm devices.
F. Replacement of fire alarm devices in existing locations using existing wiring in good condition.
G. Tie-in of kitchen devices utilizing the existing wire pathway between the kitchen and the panel.
H. Programming of the new panel.
I. Final inspection with the State Fire Marshal.
J. Keeping working areas clean and free of debris during work.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on October 01, 2025 (estimate) or upon approval by the California Department of General Services (DGS), whichever is later, and will expire on September 30, 2026 (estimate).

Work shall be performed during normal working hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding State holidays.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at CAL FIRE Deadwood Conservation Camp located at 17148 McAdams Creek Road, Fort Jones, CA 96032.

Bidder Requirements
Only California Certified Small Businesses may submit quotes for this contract opportunity. The prime Certified Small Business bidder may subcontract out a portion of the work but must include subcontractors on the Bidder Declaration form (GSPD-05-105).

Additionally, bidders must possess a C-16 Fire Protection Contractor License and a C-10 Electrical Contractor License issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB).
