26HS0008 - Unarmed Security Guard Services

Background
The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 26HS0008 for Unarmed Security Guard Services. The goal of this contract is to secure qualified vendors to provide security services at the CalVet building located at 1227 O Street in Sacramento. While participation from Disabled Veteran Enterprises (DVBE) is encouraged, there is no mandatory DVBE goal for this IFB.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing unarmed security guard services, which includes ensuring the safety and security of the premises, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents as necessary. The contractor must meet all licensing and certification requirements as specified in the solicitation. Specific details regarding the scope of work can be found in Exhibit A of the IFB package.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence on July 1, 2026, or upon approval, whichever is later, and will conclude on June 30, 2029.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the CalVet building located at 1227 O Street, Sacramento, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all instructions and requirements outlined in the IFB. While a DVBE goal is not required, DVBE participation is encouraged and incentives apply. Bidders must also meet minimum qualifications and licensing requirements as detailed in Exhibit A. Additionally, bidders must submit a completed Bid/Bidder Certification Sheet and adhere to insurance requirements.
