25YS0017 *DVBEs only* Barber Services

Background
The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is issuing this solicitation specifically for California-certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs). The purpose of this contract is to provide barber services to residents at the Veterans Home of California located in Yountville. This initiative aims to support the well-being and grooming needs of veterans residing in the facility.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide barber shop services, which include but are not limited to: haircuts for both male and female residents. Services must be performed under the contractor's license and comply with federal and state laws, as well as CalVet policies. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, staff, licenses, permits, supervision, equipment, and applicable taxes associated with providing these services.

Services will be conducted part-time during standard business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) at least two days a week, not exceeding twenty hours per week. The contractor must maintain daily records of services provided and submit monthly invoices along with sign-in sheets documenting the services rendered.

Period of Performance
The term of this Agreement shall commence on July 1, 2025, or upon date of approval, whichever is later, and will continue through June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Veterans Home of California located at 100 California Drive, Yountville, CA 94599.
