25WS0005 - Non-Emergency Ambulance Transportation Services

Background
The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is seeking quotes from certified Small and Micro Businesses to provide Non-Emergency Ambulance Transportation Services for residents at the Veterans Home of California - West Los Angeles.
The goal of this contract is to ensure that residents receive timely and appropriate medical transportation services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide non-emergency ambulance services, including:
1) Ground ambulance transportation for ill, disabled, or injured residents to/from local medical facilities, providing Basic Life Support (BLS) during transport. Common destinations include West LA VA Medical Center, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, and Providence Saint John's Health Center.
2) Services must be available 24/7 and include BLS Medical Transport and Bariatric BLS for patients over 300 pounds.
3) The contractor must respond to requests within 60 minutes and maintain a 92% on-time performance standard.
4) Invoicing must be submitted monthly with detailed service records. Required documentation includes rate sheets, payee data records, contractor certification clauses, and various declarations related to disabled veteran business enterprises.

Period of Performance
The contract term is from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Veterans Home of California - West Los Angeles located at 11500 Nimitz Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90049.
