25CRY016 - Temporary Relief Cook Staffing Services

Background
The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is seeking qualified vendors to provide Temporary Relief Cook Staffing Services for the Veterans Home of California located in Yountville. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the facility has adequate staffing for cooking services, particularly during periods when regular staff are unavailable. This solicitation encourages participation from Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE), although no specific DVBE goal is mandated.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing temporary relief cook staffing services, which includes:
- Staffing for Cook 1 and Cook 2 positions across multiple shifts.
- Estimated monthly hours for Cook 1 Staffing: 833 hours for Shift 1 and 520 hours for Shift 2, with additional incidental hours totaling 100 per month.
- Estimated monthly hours for Cook 2 Staffing: similar to Cook 1.
- The contractor must ensure that all staff meet the necessary licenses and certifications required to perform the scope of services outlined in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on September 1, 2025, or upon approval, whichever is later, and will conclude on June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Veterans Home of California located at 100 California Drive, Yountville, CA 94559.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all qualifications and licensing requirements specified in Exhibit A and A-1 of the solicitation. While a DVBE goal is not required, participation is encouraged. Bidders must also submit a completed Bidder Declaration (GSPD-05-105) and provide proof of any necessary certifications or licenses.
