25CRY015 - Temporary Relief Custodian Staffing Services

Background
The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is seeking qualified vendors to provide Temporary Relief Custodian Staffing Services for the California Veterans Home located in Yountville. The goal of this contract is to ensure adequate custodial staffing to maintain the facility's cleanliness and hygiene standards, which is essential for the well-being of the veterans residing there.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing temporary relief custodial staffing services. This includes meeting all licensing and certification requirements necessary to perform the scope of services outlined in the solicitation. Specific tasks may include cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining various areas within the facility as per the service specifications detailed in Exhibit A-1 of the IFB. The contractor must also ensure that staff are trained and equipped to handle custodial duties safely and effectively.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence on September 1, 2025, or upon approval, whichever is later, and will conclude on August 31, 2027.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the California Veterans Home located at 100 California Drive, Yountville, CA 94559.

Bidder Requirements
While a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal is not required for this IFB, participation is encouraged. Bidders must comply with all instructions and requirements contained in the IFB package. They are required to attend a mandatory walkthrough at the site before submitting their bid. Additionally, bidders must possess valid licenses and certifications as specified in Exhibit A and A-1.
