25-334 - Parking Lot Repair Services at the Mountain View DMV Field Office

Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking bids for parking lot repair services at the Mountain View DMV Field Office. The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and safety of the parking facilities, which are essential for public access to DMV services. This project is part of the DMV's ongoing commitment to provide a safe and functional environment for its customers.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform parking lot repair services at 595 Showers Drive, Mountain View, CA. The scope includes:

- Cleaning existing asphalt surfaces
- Completing minor asphalt repairs
- Filling cracks over 1/4" wide with rubberized crack filler
- Applying two or more coats of asphalt seal covering on all surfaces
- Removing and replacing curbs and sidewalks as indicated
- Repainting existing markings with original colors
- Installing new truncated dome pads (four 5’ x 4’ and one 4’ x 4’)
- Replacing disabled persons signage
- Marking motorcycle parking spaces
- Painting handicapped spaces according to specifications
- Blacking out existing striping not to be repainted after seal coating
- Ensuring all work complies with specified standards.

The contractor must also secure wheel stops properly and handle any unforeseen repairs as directed by the DMV Project Manager.

Period of Performance
The contract term is twelve months with a specific work completion timeframe of fifteen calendar days from the start date provided by the DMV Project Manager.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Mountain View DMV Field Office located at 595 Showers Drive, Mountain View, CA 94040.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid A or C-12 contractor license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs. All personnel performing services must undergo background checks through an authorized DOJ Live Scan site. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage laws if their bid exceeds $1,000.00 and must be registered public works contractors if their bid exceeds $25,000.00. Additionally, bidders must not be targets of Economic Sanctions as per Executive Order N-6-22.
