Background
The Department of General Services, Division of State Architect (DSA) is responsible for design and construction oversight for K–12 schools, community colleges, and various state-owned and leased facilities in California. This contract aims to procure modular furniture and moving services for the Sacramento Regional Office to facilitate the removal, movement, installation, and reconfiguration of office furniture and equipment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a full range of moving services including:
- Assembly or reconfiguration of modular furniture
- Movement of office furniture
- Movement of equipment and related supplies
- Installation and securing of office furniture.

The services will be performed at the Division of the State Architect located at 1102 Q Street, Suite 5200, Sacramento, CA 95811. The contractor must adhere to all terms specified in the Sample Agreement provided as Attachment 9. The contract may be amended to add additional hours or quantities at specified rates. All work must comply with prevailing wage laws.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of the agreement is three (3) years.

Services will be performed at the Division of the State Architect located at 1102 Q Street, Suite 5200, Sacramento, CA 95811.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the California Secretary of State and possess either an Active Motor Carrier Permit or a Household Goods Permit along with a valid C-61 Limited Specialty Classification or D-34 Prefabricated Equipment Contractor License. Bidders must provide proof of insurance including General Liability, Commercial Automobile Insurance, and Worker’s Compensation. A minimum participation goal of 3% for Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) is required. Bidders must submit three references demonstrating satisfactory job performance on similar projects within the last five years.
