25-261 Janitorial Services at the Mariposa DMV Field Office

Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking bids for janitorial services at the Mariposa DMV Field Office. This Small Business Bid Solicitation (SB Bid) aims to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for both employees and the public visiting the DMV office. The contract supports the DMV's mission of providing quality service to California residents.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform after-hours janitorial services at the Mariposa DMV field office located at 5264 Hwy 49 North, Mariposa, CA 95338. The scope of work includes:

1. General cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping floors with appropriate cleaners, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, and maintaining a weekly maintenance log.

2. Specific cleaning duties include:
- Daily cleaning of high-touch surfaces like doorknobs, desks, and bathroom fixtures.
- Weekly tasks such as dusting furniture and polishing metal surfaces.
- Biweekly application of floor finish to hard floors.
- Quarterly dusting of blinds and light fixtures.
- Annual carpet cleaning using hot water extraction methods.

3. The contractor must ensure that all services are completed no later than one hour before DMV business hours.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of thirty-six (36) months, starting from March 1, 2026.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the Mariposa DMV Field Office located at 5264 Hwy 49 North, Mariposa, CA 95338.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified by the State of California as a Certified Small Business by the Department of General Services (DGS). Additionally, bidders must comply with Government Code Section 19134 and Labor Code Sections 1060-1065 regarding displaced janitor opportunities. Bidders must also provide their California Department of Industrial Relations registration number with their bid.
