25-225 After-Hours Janitorial Services at the Pleasanton DMV Field Office

Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking to contract for after-hours janitorial services at the Pleasanton DMV Field Office. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for both employees and customers, aligning with the DMV's mission to provide excellent service. The current contractor is Quality Cleaning Professionals, LLC, with a total contract value of $135,972.00 for mid-day and after-hours services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform after-hours janitorial services at the Pleasanton DMV Field Office located at 6300 W. Las Positas Blvd., Pleasanton, CA 94588. Services include:

1. General cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, disinfecting surfaces, and maintaining a weekly maintenance log.

2. Specific tasks include cleaning high-touch surfaces like doorknobs and light switches, disinfecting restrooms and break areas, and ensuring all areas are cleaned before DMV business hours.

3. Detailed schedules for weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual tasks must be submitted within three days of commencing work.

4. Special Maintenance Areas will require cleaning two times per week.

5. The contractor must ensure that all cleaning products used are appropriate for the surfaces being cleaned and follow safety guidelines.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term for this contract is from February 1, 2026 or upon contract approval through January 31, 2029.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Pleasanton DMV Field Office located at 6300 W. Las Positas Blvd., Pleasanton, CA 94588.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the Property Service Workers Protection Act (Labor Code Sections 1420 - 1434) and provide a California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) registration number with their bid. Bidders must also comply with Government Code Section 19134 regarding wages and benefits. Additionally, bidders must not be targets of Economic Sanctions as defined by Executive Order N-6-22 issued by Governor Gavin Newsom.
