The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the roof replacement project at the Van Nuys DMV field office. Work Details
The contractor will perform a complete roof replacement at the Van Nuys DMV field office, including:

4) Clearing existing roof drains and overflows;
5) Adjusting HVAC curbs, removing and resetting equipment, ducts, and piping;
6) Adding roof overflow drains adjacent to all roof drains;
7) Removing and replacing the roof hatch and adding a guard rail;
8) Replacing conduits and conductors for roof-mounted power distribution;
9) Painting upper floor exterior walls.
The contractor must also inspect roof sheathing and framing for damage, maintain watertight conditions throughout construction, and dispose of all removed materials off-site at no additional cost to the DMV.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 1, 2026, or upon contract approval, with a completion timeframe of forty (40) calendar days.

The work will be performed at the Van Nuys DMV field office located at 14920 Vanowen Street, Van Nuys, CA 91408.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C-39 California contractor license. Additionally, participation from Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) is required. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage laws as determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations if their total bid exceeds $1,000.00. All bidders must also provide proof of registration as public works contractors with the DIR if their bid exceeds $25,000.00.
