25-167 After-Hours Janitorial Services at the Ukiah DMV Field Office

Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking bids for after-hours janitorial services at the Ukiah DMV Field Office. The contract aims to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, aligning with the DMV's mission to provide high-quality service to the public. The awarded contractor will be responsible for all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform these services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive janitorial services including:

1. General cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.

2. Specific tasks include cleaning high-touch surfaces (e.g., doorknobs, light switches), restrooms (cleaning fixtures and floors), and maintaining a weekly maintenance log.

3. Services must be performed after DMV business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays.

4. The contractor must prepare a schedule for various cleaning tasks (daily, weekly, monthly) within three days of commencing work.

5. Special Maintenance Areas will require cleaning twice a week.

6. All cleaning products used must be appropriate for the surfaces being cleaned and comply with health standards.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to commence on September 1, 2025, or upon contract approval, whichever occurs later, and will run through August 31, 2028.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Ukiah DMV Field Office located at 542 S. Orchard Avenue, Ukiah, CA 95482.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the Property Service Workers Protection Act and provide a California Department of Industrial Relations registration number with their bid. They are also required to comply with Government Code Section 19134 regarding wages and benefits.
