25-131 Janitorial services at the Mount Shasta DMV Field Office

Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking bids for janitorial services at the Mount Shasta DMV Field Office. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for both employees and the public visiting the DMV office. The contract will span a period of 36 months, with an estimated cost of $84,960.00.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform after-hours janitorial services at the Mount Shasta DMV field office located at 154 Morgan Way, Mount Shasta, CA 96067. Services include:

- General cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping floors with appropriate cleaners, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, and maintaining a weekly maintenance log.
- Specific tasks include cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, portable handwashing sinks, and all rooms including public lobbies and employee work areas.
- Daily tasks involve cleaning high-touch surfaces like doorknobs and light switches.
- Weekly tasks include dusting furniture and polishing metal surfaces.
- Biweekly tasks involve applying floor finish to hard floors.
- Quarterly tasks include dusting blinds and light fixtures.
- Annual tasks consist of extractor cleaning carpets throughout the facility.

The contractor must ensure that all services are completed no later than one hour before DMV business hours.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 36 months starting from December 1, 2025.

The services will be performed at the Mount Shasta DMV Field Office located at 154 Morgan Way, Mount Shasta, CA 96067.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Government Code Section 19134 if utilizing employees for janitorial services and must provide proof of registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Bidders are required to comply with Labor Code Sections 1060 - 1065 regarding displaced janitor opportunities and must provide a DIR registration number with their bid. Additionally, bidders must adhere to Executive Order N-6-22 regarding economic sanctions against Russia.
