25-077 Landscape Cleanup and Maintenance Services at the Salinas DMV Field Office

Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking to enhance the maintenance and appearance of its Salinas Field Office through a contract for landscape cleanup and maintenance services. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the DMV grounds are well-maintained, safe, and visually appealing, which aligns with the agency's mission to provide quality service to the public.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary for a one-time landscape cleanup service (if authorized) and bi-weekly landscape maintenance services at the Salinas DMV Field Office located at 260 E. Laurel Drive, Salinas, CA 93906. Specific tasks include:

- Performing a one-time landscape cleanup service if needed;
- Conducting bi-weekly maintenance which includes mowing lawns, trimming shrubs and bushes, maintaining ground cover and climbing vegetation, pruning trees, cleaning hardscape areas, cultivating soil, hauling away waste, and ensuring proper irrigation system operation.

The contractor must also implement low environmental impact practices and comply with local water use regulations.

Period of Performance
The term of the contract is thirty-six (36) months with services commencing on a date specified by the DMV Project Manager following contract execution. The first bi-weekly maintenance service is to be performed within seven (7) calendar days after the start of the agreement unless a one-time cleanup service is required.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Salinas DMV Field Office located at 260 E. Laurel Drive, Salinas, CA 93906.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C27 contractor license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs. All subcontractors must also hold a valid C27 license. Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid conference on 05/29/25 at 9:00 AM at the Salinas DMV Field Office. Additionally, bidders must not be targets of Economic Sanctions as defined by state law.
