Background
The California State Transportation Agency, through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), is issuing a Small Business Bid Solicitation (SB Bid) for daytime janitorial services at the Salinas DMV Commercial Drive Test (CDTC) Office. The purpose of this contract is to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the DMV office, which is essential for providing a safe and welcoming environment for the public and staff.

The estimated budget for this three-year contract is $84,628.00.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform daytime janitorial services at the Salinas CDTC Office located at 838 Vertin Avenue, Salinas, CA 93901. Services include but are not limited to:
1. Daily cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, desks, and restrooms.
2. Maintenance of a weekly log confirming scheduled maintenance tasks.
3. Performing specific cleaning tasks on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis as outlined in Exhibit A of the solicitation.
4. Ensuring that all cleaning products used are appropriate for the surfaces being cleaned and comply with safety standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on September 1, 2025, or upon approval following bid acceptance and will last for a term of thirty-six (36) months.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the Salinas DMV Commercial Drive Test (CDTC) Office located at 838 Vertin Avenue, Salinas, CA 93901.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified by the State of California as a Certified Small Business. They must comply with Labor Code Sections regarding employee wages and benefits if utilizing employees for janitorial services.

Bidders must also provide proof of registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) prior to bid submission.
