24-381 Rain Gutter Removal, Fabrication, and Installation Services for the El Cajon DMV Field Office

Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a contractor to provide rain gutter removal, fabrication, and installation services at the El Cajon DMV Field Office. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper installation and maintenance of rain gutters to protect the facility from water damage. The awarded contractor will be responsible for all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to complete the project.

Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks:

1. Remove and properly dispose of all existing gutters, downspouts, hangers, and associated items around the building.

2. Inspect fascia boards and surrounding areas for dry rot or structural damage after removing old gutters.

3. Remediate any dry rot found by removing damaged portions, treating wood to prevent further deterioration, and replacing sections with new treated wood.

4. Install new rain gutters, downspouts, and associated components according to industry standards.

5. Paint or touch-up areas as needed to match existing trim and fascia.

The work must be completed within ten (10) calendar days from the specified start date provided by the DMV Project Manager.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on June 1, 2025, or upon contract approval and must be completed within ten (10) calendar days.

Place of Performance
1450 Graves Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92021.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid B contractor license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs (CSLB). All subcontractors must also hold applicable licenses for their work. Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid conference scheduled for May 12th at 11:00 AM at the El Cajon DMV Field Office.
