Must have C-27 Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled at Seaside Field Office (Meet in front of the main entrance of the building), 1180 Canyon Del Rey, Seaside, CA 93955, for the purpose of discussing concerns regarding this IFB. Mandatory pre-bid conference: 4/10/2025 10:00 a.m. Written questions regarding IFB are due by: 4/17/2025 5:00 p.m. Written responses to IFB questions released by: 4/22/2025 5:00 p.m. Final date for bid submission: 4/29/2025 11:59 p.m.
Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking bids for a contract titled '24-364 – One-time Landscape Cleanup Service and Bi-Weekly Landscape Cleanup and Maintenance Services' at the Seaside DMV Field Office. The goal of this contract is to maintain the landscaping of the DMV property, ensuring it remains clean, safe, and visually appealing.

The contract will involve both a one-time cleanup service and ongoing bi-weekly maintenance over a period of thirty-six months.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform the following services:
1. **One-Time Landscape Cleanup Service** (if authorized):
- Weed abatement and removal of flammable debris.
- Clearing overgrown vegetation, undergrowth, stumps, dry grass.
- Removal of weeds from fence lines and trimming shrubs.
- Replenishment or application of soil or mulch where needed.
- Backfilling holes and eroded areas with soil or topsoil.

2. **Bi-Weekly Landscape Maintenance Services**:
- Mowing lawns to a uniform height.
- Defining edges along sidewalks and driveways.
- Trimming grass in inaccessible areas.
- Maintaining shrubs at a maximum height of 36 inches and performing skirting to promote airflow.
- Pruning trees to ensure safety and health.
- Cleaning hardscape areas using portable blowers and removing debris from hard surfaces.
- Ensuring all work areas are neat and free from debris.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of thirty-six (36) months, commencing on June 1, 2025, or upon contract approval.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the Seaside DMV Field Office located at 1180 Canyon Del Rey, Seaside, CA 93955.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C27 contractor license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs. All subcontractors must also hold a valid C27 license. Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid conference on April 10, 2025. Additionally, bidders must comply with local ordinances regarding water usage for landscaping purposes.
