24-317 Parking Lot Sweeping and Pressure Washing and/or Steam Cleaning Services at the El Cajon DMV Field Office

Background
The California State Transportation Agency, specifically the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), is issuing a Small Business Bid Solicitation (SB Bid) for parking lot sweeping and pressure washing and/or steam cleaning services at the El Cajon DMV Field Office.

The contract aims to maintain cleanliness and safety at the DMV facility, which is essential for public service operations. The estimated budget for this contract is $56,052.00 over a three-year term.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform the following services:
1. **Parking Lot Sweeping**: Services will be performed five times per week (Monday through Friday) during non-business hours (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM). The contractor must utilize truck-mounted equipment and cover all paved surfaces including corners, behind car stops, around dumpsters, sidewalks, doorways, entryways, alcoves, and under trees. Oil spills must be cleaned using environmentally safe absorbents.

2. **Pressure Washing and/or Steam Cleaning**: This service will occur once a month during the first weekend of each month from Saturday 10:00 AM to Sunday 10:00 PM. Areas to be cleaned include sidewalks, curbs, entryways, alcoves, carports, benches, concrete trash bins, and exterior walls. The contractor must use their own water source and equipment for this task.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a term of thirty-six (36) months starting from the proposed date of contract approval on March 1, 2025.

Services will be performed at the El Cajon DMV Field Office located at 1450 Graves Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92021.
