Description

Version 2: Addendum #1 (see attached). Bid due date extended. Asbestos Flooring Removal at the Capitola DMV field office. See Exhibit A, Scope of Work, for a complete description of services. Bidder must be a Certified Small Business. A valid C22 contractor license. Estimated Budget #45,000.00
Background
The California State Transportation Agency, under the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), is issuing a Small Business Bid Solicitation (SB Bid) for asbestos flooring removal at the Capitola DMV field office.

The goal of this contract is to safely remove and dispose of asbestos-containing materials in compliance with state regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both employees and the public.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary for the removal and disposal of approximately 2,509 square feet of VCT tile and carpet tiles in designated areas.

Additionally, the contractor will remove 20 square feet of ceiling tile and ACM ceiling adhesive. The work must comply with all applicable codes and regulations regarding asbestos abatement.

The contractor is responsible for field verifying all dimensions and existing site conditions pertinent to this agreement. Work must commence on a date specified by the DMV Project Manager following contract execution and must be completed within thirty (30) calendar days. All work shall be performed on weekdays and weekends if necessary, with prior approval from the DMV Project Manager.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of thirty (30) calendar days starting from April 1, 2025 or upon contract approval.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Capitola DMV field office located at 4200 Capitola Road, Capitola, CA 95010.
