Background
The California State Transportation Agency, through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), is seeking to contract for parking lot sweeping and pressure washing and/or steam cleaning services at the Daly City DMV Field Office. The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and safety in the parking area, which is approximately 90,469 square feet. The contract aims to ensure that the facility remains presentable and compliant with health and safety standards.
Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
1. **Parking Lot Sweeping**: Conducted three times per week (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) during non-business hours (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). The contractor must use truck-mounted equipment and cover all paved surfaces, including corners, behind car stops, around dumpsters, sidewalks adjacent to buildings, doorways, entryways, alcoves, and under trees/shrubs. Oil spills must be removed using environmentally safe absorbents.
2. **Paved Surface Area Pressure Washing/Steam Cleaning**: Performed twice a month on weekends (Saturday 10:00 AM - Sunday 10:00 PM). Areas include sidewalks, curbs, entryways, alcoves, carports, benches, concrete trash bins, and exterior building walls.
3. **Building and Waste Bin Enclosure Pressure Washing/Steam Cleaning**: Conducted once a month on weekends (Saturday 10:00 AM - Sunday 10:00 PM). This includes all paved surfaces surrounding the building and waste bin enclosure.
4. All services must comply with city noise abatement laws and regulations.
Period of Performance
The contract will be for a term of thirty-six (36) months starting from the proposed date of March 1, 2025.
