24-203 Parking Lot Sweeping and Pressure Washing and/or Steam Cleaning Services for the Concord DMV Field Office Term: 36 months (see Schedule of Events for proposed start date of contract). Estimated Cost: $114,480.00 Current Contractor: Clark Services Current Contract Term: 3/1/2022 - 2/28/2025 Current Monthly Cost: Parking Lot Sweeping $975.00 Pressure Washing and/or Steam Cleaning $460.00 Bidder Qualifications: Bidder must be certified by the State of California, Department of General Services (DGS), Office of Small Business and Disabled Veteran Enterprise Services (OSDS), as a Certified Small Business. The awarded contractor shall utilize truck-mounted equipment to perform parking lot sweeping during the term of the contract. The awarded contractor shall not utilize trailer-mounted equipment to perform parking lot sweeping during the term of the contract. Schedule of Events: Written questions regarding SB Bid are due by: 9/26/2024 5:00PM Written responses to SB Bid questions released by: 9/30/2024 5:00PM Final date for bid submission: 10/4/2024 11:59PM Proposed start date of contract: 3/1/2025
Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking to procure parking lot sweeping and pressure washing and/or steam cleaning services for the Concord DMV Field Office.

This contract aims to maintain cleanliness and safety in the parking area, which is approximately 125,418 square feet. The DMV's mission includes providing quality service to the public, and maintaining a clean environment is part of this commitment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary for the following services:

1. **Parking Lot Sweeping**:
- Services must be performed three times per week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during non-business hours (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
- Areas to be swept include all paved surfaces, corners, behind car stops, around trash dumpsters, sidewalks adjacent to buildings, doorways, entryways, alcoves, under trees and shrubs adjacent to property borders.
- Additional duties include removing oil spills using environmentally safe absorbents and manually picking up trash around receptacles.

2. **Pressure Washing/Steam Cleaning**:
- Services must be performed two times per month on the first and third weekends during non-business hours (12:00 AM Saturday to 10:00 PM Sunday).
- Areas to be cleaned include sidewalks surrounding the building and parking lot, curbs, entryways, walkways, alcoves, carports, benches, concrete trash bins/ash urns, and exterior building walls.
- The contractor must use their own water source for pressure washing/steam cleaning.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a term of 36 months starting from March 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Concord DMV Field Office located at 2070 Diamond Boulevard, Concord, CA 94520.
