24-154 Scheduled Preventative Maintenance and As-Needed Unscheduled Repair Services for Various Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, and Other Miscellaneous Equipment at Various DMV Locations

Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a contractor to provide scheduled preventative maintenance and as-needed unscheduled repair services for various forklifts, pallet jacks, and other miscellaneous equipment across multiple DMV locations.
The goal of this contract is to ensure that all equipment remains in optimal operating condition, thereby supporting the DMV's mission to provide safe and efficient services to the public.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform the required services. Specifically, the contractor will conduct:
1. Scheduled preventative maintenance services once per month during DMV business hours (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday). This includes tasks such as engine oil changes, filter replacements, inspections, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, testing, and replacement of unserviceable parts.
2. As-needed unscheduled repair services on an on-call basis during the same hours. The contractor must respond to service calls within 24 hours of notification by the DMV.
3. All work must comply with original equipment manufacturer specifications and safety requirements. The contractor must maintain adequate technical support for their technicians and ensure that all repairs are performed without bypassing any safety devices.
4. The contractor shall manage parts replacement under specified conditions and maintain an adequate supply of commonly used parts to minimize downtime.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for a term of thirty-six (36) months starting from October 1, 2024 or upon approval.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various DMV locations as identified in Exhibit F of the solicitation.
