24-10027-000 Medical Evaluations within the Specialty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine

Background
The Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero (DSH) is seeking bids for Medical Evaluations within the Specialty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary medical evaluations for pre-employment and employment purposes to ensure that employees can safely perform their job functions. This solicitation is part of DSH's commitment to maintain a healthy workforce in compliance with state regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, certifications, permits, insurance, personnel, and any other items necessary to conduct medical evaluations. Specific services include:

1) Medical clearance physicals, functional capacity physicals, and physical abilities testing for applicants and employees;
2) Two-view chest x-rays for referred civil service employees;
3) Tuberculosis screening following CDC guidelines;
4) Medical testimony if subpoenaed for related cases.

The contractor will act as the Medical Review Officer for DSH.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of the agreement is from June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2028.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at a medical office or clinic located within a 20-mile radius of DSH – Atascadero, specifically at 10333 El Camino Real, Atascadero, CA 93422.
