Background
The Department of State Hospitals (DSH) is seeking bids for a contractor to perform off-site records storage and retention services. DSH-Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital located in Patton, CA, in San Bernardino County. The hospital provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The contract will be performed from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027.
Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, insurance, and personnel to provide the DSH with off-site records storage and retention services on an as-needed basis. The services include storing all files in a safe and secure facility equipped with 24-hour interior and exterior surveillance as well as fire prevention systems in compliance with NFPA 232 mandated regulations.
The disaster plan requirement includes allowing for remote access and control of the security system and network database. Additionally, the contractor’s personnel shall be screened, insured, and fully trained in regulatory compliance for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
