2026 California Singapore SWITCH Trade Mission RFP

Background
The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is seeking a consulting firm to assist in executing a trade mission to the Singapore Week of Innovation & Technology (SWITCH) from October 26-30, 2026. This mission aims to support eight California Economic Development Organizations (EDOs) and innovation partners in attracting investment and promoting California's leadership in technology sectors. The contractor will play a crucial role in facilitating business connections and enhancing California's presence at the event.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive services including:
- **Pre-Event Preparation**: Support recruitment of California delegates, conduct market research, facilitate B2B meetings, and plan site visits.
- **Event Planning**: Organize a networking event for approximately 150 attendees, including logistics for catering and venue.
- **In-Country Execution**: Coordinate meetings, site visits, and provide logistical support during the trade mission. This includes arranging transportation, creating promotional materials, and managing the booth at SWITCH.
- **Post-Event Deliverables**: Conduct a debrief with GO-Biz and provide a report summarizing activities, feedback, leads generated, and recommendations for future engagement.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on May 18, 2026, and conclude on November 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed primarily in Singapore during the SWITCH trade show.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must have been in operation for at least two years with experience supporting U.S. businesses or state EDOs on foreign direct investment activities. They must not be debarred or suspended from public procurement. The contractor should have sufficient resources to manage the project effectively and maintain regular communication with GO-Biz.
