1CA07816 -Garage Doors Removal, Disposal, and Installation Services **Small Business Bidders ONLY**

Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking contractors to provide Garage Doors Removal, Disposal, and Installation Services at the Laytonville Fire Station and Leggett Fire Station. This contract aims to ensure safe use, restore functionality, and comply with applicable building and safety codes. Only California Certified Small Businesses are eligible to submit bids; subcontracting is not permitted.

Work Details
Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to replace and install garage doors and openers at both fire stations. Specific tasks include:

1) At Laytonville Fire Station: Replace and install four (4) garage doors with openers;
2) At Leggett Fire Station: Replace and install three (3) garage doors with openers.

The sizes of the garage doors include two (2) doors measuring 10'2" x 10' and two (2) doors measuring 12' x 10'3", all steel ribbed in white with full view clear glass. Each door must have a ten-foot chain rail, 115-volt safety sensors, and a half-horsepower medium-duty wall station.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on May 15, 2026 (estimated), or upon approval by the California Department of General Services. The agreement will expire on May 14, 2027 (estimated). Services shall be provided during normal working hours from Monday through Friday.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the following locations:

- Laytonville Fire Station – 46101 N Hwy 101, Laytonville, CA 95454;
- Leggett Fire Station - 69310 N Hwy 101, Leggett, CA 95585.

Bidder Requirements
Only California Certified Small Businesses may submit bids. The prime Certified Small Business bidder may not subcontract any portion of the work. Bidders must provide proof of registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and hold a C28-Lock and Security Equipment license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB). Additionally, bidders must comply with prevailing wage laws if the total bid exceeds $1,000.
