1CA07712 Fire Sprinkler System Annual Testing and Repair

Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Fire Sprinkler System Annual Testing and Repair Services. The mission of CAL FIRE is to protect the people and resources of California from wildfires and other emergencies.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that fire sprinkler systems are tested, maintained, and repaired as necessary to meet safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, annual testing, repairs, maintenance, and fees necessary for fire sprinkler system annual testing and repair. Specific services include:
1) Annual testing of fire sprinkler systems as described in Exhibit A;
2) Repair services for fire sprinkler systems;
3) Retesting of repaired fire sprinkler systems.

The estimated number of services per year includes 4 annual tests and approximately 25 hours each for repair and retesting.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a three-year term with annual evaluations.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various CAL FIRE locations including:
- Napa Fire Station (1820 Monticello Road, Napa, CA)
- Las Posadas Fire Station (755 Las Posadas Road, Angwin, CA)
- Cloverdale Fire Station (1001 South Cloverdale Boulevard, Cloverdale, CA)
- Sonoma Air Attack Base (2235 Airport Boulevard, Santa Rosa, CA).

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed to do business in California and possess a C-16 Fire Protection Contractor License issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board. Bidders must also be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).

Participation by certified Small Businesses (SB) or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) is encouraged but not mandatory. Bidders must submit a non-collusion declaration and provide proof of insurance within ten working days after notification of award.
