1644DPH 451 Vanderbilt 1st Floor Buildout

Background
The Department of Public Health (DPH) of San Bernardino County is issuing a solicitation for the construction of the 451 Vanderbilt First Floor Buildout project. The goal of this contract is to enhance public health facilities by providing necessary tenant improvements, including the construction of new interior partitions and installation of ceilings. Additionally, the project includes the addition of restrooms and associated systems. The project is managed by the Project and Facilities Management Department located at 620 South E Street, San Bernardino, CA.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for tenant improvements to an existing suite, which includes:
1) Construction of new interior partitions;
2) Installation of ceilings according to the proposed layout;
3) Addition of restrooms within the suite;
4) Installation and connection of all associated electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems necessary to support these improvements. The total construction estimate for this project is $7,050,000.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed within 160 calendar days from the date stipulated in the Notice to Proceed. The bid opening is scheduled for July 23, 2026.

The project will be performed at 451 E Vanderbilt Way, San Bernardino, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a State Contractor's Class B License. Additionally, they must list any licensed subcontractors under the Designation of Subcontractors section for trades including Mechanical (C-20), Electrical (C-10), and Plumbing (C-36). Bidders are required to provide a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of their base bid. Compliance with California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations regarding In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets is mandatory.
