1436 - Mojave Splash Pad Reconstruction

Background
The Mojave Splash Pad Reconstruction project is initiated by the San Bernardino County Project and Facilities Management Department. The project aims to enhance recreational facilities in Victorville, California, by demolishing the existing splash pad, restroom, and picnic shelter, and constructing new compliant facilities.

This project is funded through the Federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) one-time funds, emphasizing the importance of adhering to federal guidelines and prevailing wage requirements.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Demolish the existing splash pad, restroom, and picnic shelter.
2. Construct a new prefabricated restroom and shower facility that complies with California Accessibility standards.
3. Build a California Accessibility compliant parking lot and path of travel.
4. Install a new splash pad featuring various water features along with all necessary piping, equipment, utilities, and an equipment enclosure.
5. Upgrade the existing main electric distribution panel to ensure it meets current standards.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed by the County and must be completed within a specified number of calendar days as outlined in the contract documents.

Place of Performance
The reconstruction work will take place at 18000 Yates Rd., Victorville, California.
