10210017 Pipette Calibration Services

Background
The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) is seeking a contractor to provide pipette calibration services for its Genetic Monitoring Laboratory. The goal of this contract is to ensure the accuracy and precision of laboratory pipettes, which are essential for maintaining the integrity of laboratory results. This contract will support DWR's mission to manage California's water resources effectively.

Work Details
The contractor will provide on-site calibration and maintenance for DWR’s electronic and manual single-channel and multi-channel laboratory pipettes on an as-needed basis. Services include:

1. Preventative maintenance, which involves inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and leak testing of the pipettes.
2. Calibration of pipettes to meet original manufacturer specifications.
3. Replacement of worn or defective parts found during inspections, with parts charged at cost plus 10%.
4. Conducting performance verification with at least four test weighings at 10% and 100% volumes for each pipette serviced.
5. Providing NIST-traceable calibration documentation upon request, including a standard calibration certificate that lists pipette information, testing methods, results, and service details.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of this agreement is three (3) years, starting from August 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed on-site at the Genetic Monitoring Laboratory located at 3500 Industrial Blvd, West Sacramento, CA 95691.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Program participation requirements and submit specific forms including: Attachment VI (Bidder Certification of DVBE Participation), Attachment VII (DVBE Declaration), and Attachment VIII (Bidder Declaration). Bidders must have a minimum of three years' experience in providing pipette calibration services and demonstrate this through references from comparable institutions.
