Background
The County of Los Angeles, through its Department of Public Library, is seeking bids for the installation of a new LG mini-split air conditioning system at the George Nye, Jr. Library located in Lakewood, CA.
This project aims to enhance the library's climate control capabilities, particularly in the data room, ensuring optimal conditions for both patrons and equipment.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing and installing a new LG 1-ton split system which includes: an indoor air handler unit, an outdoor condenser unit, and a Wi-Fi thermostat (Venstar or approved equivalent).
The scope of work includes:
- Installation of the indoor air handler in the data room.
- Placement of the outdoor condenser unit in a designated area outside.
- Running control wires and refrigerant line set from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit.
- Running electricity to the outdoor unit with a new disconnect.
- Installing a drain line from the indoor unit to the drain.
- Pressure testing and vacuuming of the system.
- Starting up the unit and topping off refrigerant if needed.
All items must be brand specific; alternate brands will be rejected.
Additionally, all vendors must provide detailed literature on their proposed units, including installation and maintenance manuals.

Period of Performance
Work shall commence within 15 business days after contract award and is expected to be completed promptly thereafter as coordinated with the Public Works Representative.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at George Nye, Jr. Library located at 6600 Del Amo Blvd., Lakewood, CA 90713.
